Q. Can I print text and images?
A. You can print full color images (photos, logos, icons etc.) upto 1200 dpi. Our custom software contains hundreds of standard images, or you can download and print your own photos or any images downloaded from the Internet. Text printing can be in any language / font / color just like using Microsoft Word.
Q. Do I need to buy special ink or liquids.
A. Our printers use standard Lexmark ink cartridges (color #26 and black #17) which can be purchased from most stores. Each printer comes with a starter pack of ink cartridge and prep solutions, and prep solutions can be re-ordered at a cost of $20 per 50ml bottle or $99 per 500ml bottle. Most customers find they can get approximately 500 print jobs (FreshTouch rosebud or golf ball) per 50ml bottle. For print jobs on glassware or candles, it is recommended to apply a clear coat of laquer after printing, which can be purchased from most hardware stores.
Q. How long do the ink cartridges last?
A. Typically, approximately 400 print jobs on small items such as FreshTouch rose buds and golf balls, depending on size and quality of image and resolution.
Q. How long does it take to print?
A. Each product to be printed on requires a thin coat of prep solution. Most average size print jobs (eg. FreshTouch rosebud, or golf ball) can be printed in under a minute.
Q. How much does it cost to print?
A. On average, a print job on a FreshTouch rosebud or a golf ball, works out at approximately 5 cents each (ink / prep solution / electricity, but not including the rose or golf ball).
Q. Can I connect the printer to my own computer?
A. Yes. The minimum PC requirements are: CPU Intel Celeron (or similar) 600MHz, 128M memory, above 1G hard disk, two USB ports, one CD-ROM, Windows operating system.
Q. Is the equipment difficult to install and operate?
A. No. Each printer comes with a DVD giving clear instructions on how to install the equipment and download the software, drivers, and galleries. Anyone with a basic knowledge of using computers will find it very simple to use our printers. You do not need any special skills and most customers are printing gifts soon after unpacking the box. For added peace of mind, we offer online technical support.
Q. Do I have to buy only FreshTouch rosebuds from PrintaPetal?
A. No. You can buy artificial flowers from any source of your choice, however FreshTouch rosebuds are the ideal solution for flower printing, in terms of size, shape, quality, and the ability to hold the image without smudging or blurring. FreshTouch rosebuds can be purchased from as little as $1.50 each (plus shipping).
Q. Do I have to buy candles, golf balls, etc. from PrintaPetal?
A. No. These products are readily available from many different sources. We offer a range of CoolGlow battery operated L.E.D. candles, with prices available on request.
Q. What about false nail tips for the nail printer?
A. We offer these at a very affordable $3 per set of 10 plus shipping.
Q. What happens if the printer proves to be faulty?
A. Each printer comes with a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty, covering any manufacturing defect.
Q. Where can I find customers for my printed products?
A. Many of our customers are having amazing success, selling printed gifts to party and wedding planners, event and exhibition organisers, hospital shops, gift shops, mall kiosks, hotel gift shops, souvenir shops, as well as selling online through their own websites and linking up with some of the larger online gift catalogue sites. We have customers reporting terrific sales at home-based parties, bulk contracts for promotional events and from mini-kiosks at sporting events, kids’ soccer & baseball tournaments, school proms, swap meets and indoor markets, church events, baby showers, July 4th. celebrations…the possibilities for generating revenue are bound only by your imagination!
Q. What kind of profits can I expect?
A. Like all businesses, success depends on how much effort you put in, and whilst we cannot guarantee nor predict actual sales, as these depend on each customer’s own performance, we can at least do the math: Let’s say for example, that a customer’s initial sales are an easy 15 printed flowers per day. At a cost of $1.55 each per flower including the ink / prep solution, and a selling price of $6 each with a full color picture and text, the monthly profit would be $1,335 IF YOU ONLY WORKED PART-TIME 5 DAYS PER WEEK, and only sold 15 FLOWERS PER DAY! Sell more, make more, and with a minimal overhead the initial investment outlay could be paid off in a very short time, with positive cashflow from that point on.
Add sales of just 10 printed candles per day, and with a profit of $10 per candle, there could be AN EXTRA $2,000 per month of sales revenue, now totalling $3,335 per month. Add more products, add more customers, and the numbers grow and grow.
Q. How do I get my website up and running (Premium packages only).
A. You would provide us with your 1st / 2nd / 3rd choice of domain names, and we would register your domain for you and build you a website. We would hand over the completed website to you, together with full admin access so you could modify, edit and add to your website at any time, without additional cost. We would also show you how to link your website to other related websites and portals to increase your marketing exposure.
